British tenor Russell Watson became an opera singer almost by chance. While he was regularly singing standards in bars and clubs, the owner of one venue told Watson that his voice was better suited for opera and requested that he add Puccini's "Nessun Dorma," to his set. Watson went on to sign with Decca Records, issuing his debut “The Voice” in 2001. Nicknamed "the People's Tenor" since he likes to chat with and seeks feedback from his fans, Watson seems poised to win more fans as he covers such contemporary compositions as featured on his latest hit album “Russell Watson: The Ultimate Collection”.
The two Summer Nights Open Air Concert Series shows offer the chance to witness a true music legend in action in truly amazing historic settings. Don’t miss out.
